How it works

For every photo donated, Johnson & Johnson gave $1 US to the American Academy of Pediatrics. That $1 US helped the AAP deliver potentially lifesaving guidance to one new parent about how to keep their baby safe while sleeping. It took one photo to help a baby sleep safely day and night.

Each year, 4,000 babies don't make it to their 1st birthday for preventable reasons. The American Academy of Pediatrics and the Friends of Children Fund provide information for new parents that can help prevent sleep-related infant deaths, including Sudden Unexpected Infant Death Syndrome (SUIDS) and accidental suffocation. By sharing the right knowledge, the AAP can help new parents and their newborns sleep safe and sound.

Since 1930, the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) mission has been to support the health of all infants, children, adolescents, and young adults. The Friends of Children Fund (CFC) was founded so that the AAP could immediately respond to emerging child health issues.
