How it works

For every photo you donate, Johnson & Johnson gives $1 US to the humanitarian organization CARE. That $1 US goes toward seeds, trees, livestock and training to help Bangladeshi women feed their families and lift themselves, and their communities, out of poverty. It takes 94 photos to help a woman cultivate nutritious foods.

Women in rural Bangladesh often lack vital skills and access to resources needed to support themselves and their families. Without help, these women and their families often go hungry and stay mired in extreme poverty. CARE gives women farming skills—helping them improve productivity, boost their incomes, and rise out of poverty.

Founded in 1945 with the creation of the CARE Package®, CARE is a leading humanitarian organization fighting global poverty. CARE places special focus on working alongside poor girls and women because, equipped with the proper resources, they have the power to lift whole families and entire communities out of poverty. Last year CARE worked in 84 countries and reached more than 83 million people around the world.

The partnership with CARE contributes to Johnson & Johnson’s commitment to the United Nation’s Millennium Development Goals, which is part of our effort to improve the health of women, children and families around the world.
