FHI 360 is a nonprofit human development organization dedicated to improving lives in lasting ways by advancing integrated, locally driven solutions. The FHI 360 staff includes experts in health, education, nutrition, environment, economic development, civil society, gender equality, youth, research, technology, communication and social marketing — creating a unique mix of capabilities to address today’s interrelated development challenges. FHI 360 serves more than 70 countries and all U.S. states and territories.
Partnering with Johnson & Johnson’s Bridge to Employment (BTE) program, FHI 360 is working in more than 65 communities worldwide to help prepare the world’s youth for a brighter future. Through academic enrichment activities, career readiness and exploration opportunities, and higher education preparation, BTE inspires young people (14-18 year olds) from disadvantaged communities to stay in school, excel academically, and elevate their career aspirations. BTE students get exposed to various careers in the healthcare industry and are motivated to pursue higher levels of academic progress and take the steps necessary to build a better future and achieve their full potential.
The BTE program serves areas with a strong community need. The selected community/secondary school(s) should exhibit one or more of the following characteristics:
• Economically disadvantaged, examples include, but not limited to: 1) Designated high poverty community; 2) Higher than average % of low-income families in community
• Educationally disadvantaged, examples include, but not limited to: 1) Higher than average secondary school drop-out rate; 2) Lower than average secondary school graduation rate; 3) Lower than average % of students proceeding to higher education; 4) Higher than average % of community without a higher education degree; 5) Geographically Isolated / Rural Location
All programs serve 35-50 students in their last three years of high school.
You can donate a photo to one cause, once a day. For every photo donated to FHI 360, Johnson & Johnson Services, Inc. has donated $1 to that cause. Photo donations to FHI 360 ended when it reached its goal of $20,000.
