How it works

For every photo you donate, Johnson & Johnson gives $1 US to UNFPA. It takes 80 photos to help provide a new mom with her baby's first bed.

UNFPA is working to improve the safety of maternal conditions in Haiti, where around 370 women die for every 100,000 live births and 28 newborn dies for every 1,000 births. In October of 2016, Hurricane Matthew devastated parts of the country, hitting hardest in Grande Anse, Nipples and South Haiti; 546,000 women and girls of reproductive age need immediate assistance. As more than 3,430 births a month are expected in the three regions, UNFPA is helping by providing new moms with a Baby Box filled with urgent baby items, which then becomes the baby's first bed.

The Global Moms Relay is an opportunity to share stories of motherhood that inspire action to help improve the lives of mothers and children everywhere.

From May 3 to June 16, celebrities, community leaders, experts and parents will share their personal stories on what they wish were true for every child, everywhere. Every time you like, tweet, comment or share a post on social media, Johnson & Johnson will donate $1 - up to $500,000 - to five causes that help improve the health and wellbeing of families worldwide: Shot@Life, Girl Up, U.S. Fund for UNICEF, UNFPA, and Nothing But Nets.
