UNICEF is helping to prepare and educate new mothers for essential newborn care by working with the Government of Punjab Pakistan to strengthen health education sessions for illiterate pregnant women, mothers and adolescents. We work together to develop standard clear messages using mobile projectors to share video messages on birth preparedness, essential newborn care and managing diarrhea, which is the leading cause of death in children under 5 years old. This initiative empowers community health workers to refresh their knowledge and counselling skills todeliver the health messages more efficiently and capably.
The Global Moms Relay is an opportunity to share stories of motherhood that inspire action to help improve the lives of mothers and children everywhere.
From May 3 to June 16, celebrities, community leaders, experts and parents will share their personal stories on what they wish were true for every child, everywhere. Every time you like, tweet, comment or share a post on social media, Johnson & Johnson will donate $1 - up to $500,000 - to five causes that help improve the health and wellbeing of families worldwide: Shot@Life, Girl Up, U.S. Fund for UNICEF, UNFPA, and Nothing But Nets.
You can donate a photo to one cause, once a day*. For every photo donated to UNICEF, Johnson & Johnson Services, Inc. has donated $1 to that cause. Photo donations to UNICEF ended August 2, 2017. UNICEF will receive a minimum of $20,000.
